Case Study #1
AI-Powered Storytelling for Tourism and Culture
Rethink Storytelling
Story-Go is a modular digital experience platform developed by xm systems that transforms how destinations, museums, and cultural institutions engage their audiences. Combining advanced generative AI with real-world interaction technologies like QR, NFC, and geolocation, Story-Go enables the creation of immersive, personalized visitor experiences—across mobile, web, and physical spaces.
The platform generates multilingual, context-aware stories and guides on demand, dramatically reducing the effort required for content production while increasing engagement through gamification, challenges, and rewards.
Academic AI research and commercial application
Originally developed as part of a broader research collaboration with FH Joanneum, Story-Go bridges the gap between academic AI research and commercial application.
The system is privacy-by-design, multilingual, and highly scalable, supporting flexible licensing for tourism boards, cultural institutions, and experience providers.
The use of a credit-based pay-per-use model ensures accessibility for small and medium-sized partners, while the modular architecture allows for rapid integration of AI-driven features such as automated audio guides, personalized content paths, and location-based storytelling.

Making Student Elections Simple, Legal, and Digital
Built for Schools, Not for Bureaucracy
With OneVote, we didn’t set out to “digitize a ballot.” We set out to remove the friction that makes student representative elections stressful for schools — while keeping what matters most: fairness, trust, and legal validity. In many schools, elections still mean paper lists, improvised procedures, time pressure, and avoidable errors.
Teachers are left coordinating logistics, students feel disconnected from the process, and the result can be hard to document properly. OneVote changes that: a browser-based, GDPR-compliant election tool designed specifically for Austrian schools — built to support legally valid student elections while staying intuitive enough to run in a normal school day.
Reengineering the Election Process
We designed OneVote with one clear goal: make elections effortless for educators and credible for students. The platform supports real school structures out of the box — from Klassensprecher to Schulsprecher, including multi-tier elections and point-based rankings where required. Students participate anonymously via tokenized access, while teachers run the process through a clear dashboard: set up classes, define ballots, open/close voting windows, and export results in a format that’s easy to document. Behind the scenes, OneVote is built around what schools actually need:
• Simple setup (minutes, not hours)
• Secure, anonymous voting with auditable results
• Clear compliance mindset (privacy by design, minimal data)
• High participation through an experience students will actually use
The outcome: elections that feel modern and engaging — while staying structured, transparent, and defendable if questions arise.

A Digital Ecosystem for Art Discovery and Collecting
What we built
Behold is a next-generation digital art discovery platform designed for artists and art lovers. The app enables users to explore curated artworks, view artist profiles, and build personal collections through a modern, gallery-like mobile experience. It lays the foundation for a scalable ecosystem connecting digital discovery with future marketplace and licensing opportunities.
How we helped
We supported Behold from early concept to functional product by designing and developing the first mobile MVP, focusing on core user flows, immersive UI, and a strong technical foundation. Our work included experience design, rapid prototyping, and the implementation of a high-performance app & backend architecture ready for future expansion.
Case Study #4
Connecting the Digital and Physical World
A New Chapter
When we took over xamoom, we didn’t just adopt a product – we embraced a vision. A vision of empowering people and places through seamless digital experiences. Since its founding, xamoom has pioneered location-based content delivery for tourism, culture, and smart cities.
The platform was already powerful, offering NFC, QR, GPS geofencing, and iBeacon support – all connected to a flexible, mobile-first CMS and native apps that users and developers loved.
But we saw even more potential.
Reengineering xamoom
Our team at xm systems reengineered xamoom with a clear goal: to make it AI-first.
Not as a buzzword—but as a practical philosophy that improves real-world workflows for the people who rely on it most – content managers in museums, tourist regions, events, and city marketing. From automatic multilingual content creation, to AI-supported content suggestions and intelligent onboarding, we’re embedding AI into every layer of xamoom – not to replace human creativity, but to amplify it.
Whether you’re managing a museum collection, designing a digital city tour, or launching an interactive event guide, xamoom is now smarter, faster, and even easier to use. Same mission. New momentum.

FAQ's
xm systems is a hands-on technology and product partner. We help founders and business leaders turn ideas into real digital products — and help established companies modernize their operations for the AI era.
We combine strategy, product thinking, and engineering execution to build things that actually ship.
We primarily work with:
- Startup founders building new ventures
- Enterprise decision-makers driving digital transformation
- Small and mid-sized businesses (KMUs) needing modern digital systems
If you're building something meaningful — or need to adapt to a changing digital world — we can help.
Neither.
We don’t operate like a classic agency delivering “projects and tickets.” And we’re not a studio taking equity in everything.
We act as a true product and technology partner: strategic, deeply involved, and focused on long-term outcomes — not just deliverables.
We build impactful digital products such as:
- MVPs and startup platforms
- Mobile and web applications
- AI-enabled tools and workflows
- Internal business systems
- Location-based and real-world connected experiences
- Scalable SaaS products
If it can be built with modern technology, we can build it — and help shape it.
Yes — that’s often the best moment to work together.
We help founders pressure-test ideas, clarify the product’s core, and define what should be built first.
You don’t need a full specification.
You need the right partner to find the right first step.
Most collaborations begin with a short, focused discovery phase:
- Understanding your vision and goals
- Exploring user needs and market reality
- Defining a clear MVP or roadmap
- Aligning on scope, timeline, and priorities
From there, we move quickly into design and execution.
Both. We love building MVPs — but we’re equally experienced in scaling products beyond launch:
- Stable architectures
- Growth-ready platforms
- Team enablement
- Continuous iteration
- AI integration over time
We build foundations, not prototypes that collapse later.
We’ve lived through every major technology shift:
- The early internet era
- The mobile and smartphone revolution
- Platform and SaaS scaling
- And now: the AI transformation
We’re not learning this from books.
We’ve built companies, shipped products used by millions, and navigated real-world pressure.
You get experience — not theory.
We approach AI practically, not as hype.
That can mean:
- Automating workflows
- Building AI-powered product features
- Adding multilingual or generative content systems
- Improving onboarding and user experience
- Making operations faster and smarter
AI should create real value — not just buzzwords.
We work with your team, not against it.
We can:
- Extend your internal development capacity
- Support your CTO or leadership
- Provide product and tech advisory
- Lead critical execution when speed matters
We integrate smoothly and help your team get stronger.
It depends on complexity, but typical ranges are:
- Discovery + concept: 1–3 weeks
- Prototype and design: 2–6 weeks
- MVP build and launch: 2–4 months
- Larger platforms: ongoing phases
We focus on shipping early and iterating fast.
We don’t sell generic packages.
Pricing depends on:
- Stage (idea, MVP, transformation)
- Scope and timeline
- Team size needed
- Level of partnership
After an initial call, we provide clear options and transparent next steps.
